its inception in 1910, Maketewah Country Club has established a proud tradition
of member satisfaction. Centrally located and easily accessible, Maketewah's facilities
are among the finest in the Greater Cincinnati area. The Club's championship golf
course, stately and elegant Clubhouse, and other fine sporting and social amenities
provide countless opportunities for enjoyment by our members and their guests.
Maketewah's multi-generational
and diverse membership is very welcoming, friendly and outgoing, and is the basis
for the Club's reputation as "the friendliest club in town". This friendly
yet professional approach is also embodied by Maketewah's excellent staff, each

CLUB OVERVIEW
Maketewah
stands as one of the premiere private clubs in the Midwest. The stately &
elegant clubhouse was completed in 1930 and serves as the social center for Maketewah's
outgoing and supportive membership. The name “Maketewah” comes from
the Mohawk Indian term “Land of the Mill Valley.” 
Maketewah's
course is challenging and enjoyable for all skill levels and the Club boasts the
largest number of single digit handicaps in Ohio. Other golf amenities include
a full practice range along with two bunker putting/chipping greens. 
Maketewah
is home to one of the truly outstanding amateur golfers in history. In addition
to winning many amateur golf titles, Tony Blom has eagled every hole on the course and double-eagled
two holes for a ringer score of 34. The grille at Maketewah is named Tony’s
Tavern in his honor.
